Monday of the GCDC

Well, today I was at the GCDC, and I must say I learend a lot, and saw a lot. I went through a bunch of sessions, which were mostly very interesting. Especially the keynotes about Gears of War 2 were great. Especially because we got to see a live demo of the game, which looked great! I also got a sneak peak at Lego Universe, which looks very nice as well. I'm not going to be going into too much details about the developers side of things here, though I may publish some stuff on the convention itself. Laters! - SG

Heading off to Leipzig

Well, it's been a while since I last wrote. Things are going well, and I've been busy with work a lot. Tomorrow morning I depart for the Games Convention in Germany! Going to be a blast, I'm sure. Aside from that, Selinye posted some neat quizzes I thought I'd take as well :) ...

So, the word is out!

And I can FINALLY say what game I am working on! Today at the Playstation Day 2008 press event, they finally announced the game! Eyetoy Play: Pom Pom Party, an Eyetoy game for the Playstation 2. I can't say I'm happy about how it was more  or less mentioned as a side-dish, at least at most press sites, but I digress. For those of you who are confused: The Eyetoy is the name of the Playstation 2 camera, while The Eye is the name of the Playstation 3 variant. Anyhow, as I'm not 100% as to what I can and cannot say...

Not this year...

Soo, I have decided that I'm not going to SOE Fan Faire this year. Even though I would love to go, I don't see that working out this year. While I'm not expecting it to be in June, at this point, since SOE still has not been able to come about with date and location make it about impossible for me to make propper plans for this summer if going there. On the other hand there's this little money issue as well. Instead, I'll be heading to the GC and perhaps the GCDC this year. And though I doubt it'll be as...

Passive!

So, at recommendation of Cyanbane of EQ2-Daily, I went ahead and tried PMOG, and I must say, it has an interresting concept. PMOG, Pasively Multiplayer Online Game, is a game that works by firefox-plugin. As you surf the internet, you encounter various things that other players have left behind. So, while you surf, you play. You can drop mines and crates, place lightposts and portals, which each have their own use. Further more, as you browse various domains, you gain more and more datapoints (DP), which is the currency of PMOG. With DP you can buy more tools to use during...

Just another week I guess

Soo, still without laptop here, but at least I managed to get me some wireless internet. I've borrowed a laptop, and am posting this from the train. Overall it's working pretty well I'd say, and when I get my own laptop back, I'll try and game some over it. Anyhow, development on the project I'm working on is proceding pretty well. And hopefully in a couple of months I'll be able to actually post about it. What am I gaming? Well without my laptop it's been a bit less of the usual, and a bit more other stuff. Some Ethernal Sonata, some...

Fan Faire Poll Open!

Today Sony Online Entertainment set up a preliminary poll for their next Fan Faire. Now, as anyone can guess, I can hardly wait! Unfortunately though, there are three options in there for the month of June, in which I am scheduled to graduate, so I would not be able to attend. Soo, all vote for Vegas!  (Well, if you really don't want to, I guess I can't blame ya if you choose otherwise.) Aside from all that, I'm sure it's going to be great fun once again. I know it was last year. If you've never gone to a Fan Faire of...

Yet Another New Year!

Soo, I have been bussy since the last time I blogged here, but I figured I would make another post to give you all an idea about what's going on. Mainly I have been playing EverQuest 2, in the new expansion Rise of Kunark. I managed to get to level 73, and go around a couple of the zones. I must give kudos to the EverQuest 2 team, as this expansion is awesome! Very well done. Lot's of new quests, including some big general quest lines, and quite the faction game around it. So far I have managed to do nearly...

Soo, yea...

Lately my time for online gaming has really taken a nose dive... Fortunately, with my laptop I can pretty much play games anywhere though. Soo, rather than in online games, I've been doing some offline ones. Taken some time to go back into Neverwinter nights 2, as I never really finished that game. Made a cleric this time, and started from the beginning. Definitly some fun, though my only gripe is that the game is still not completely stable. For starters, the copyright protection scheme doesn't really like me for some reason. I run Daemon tools, and that apparently causes...

Dancing?

Looks like I've been neglegting this blog again... Well, it's unfortunate, but I'm not quite sure how much I can get to blogging. I've started an internship, and during the week days I really only have 1 hour at home, awake, at most. That should change sometimes, but for now, I may be a tad slow updating. I'll still try to put something on here now and again though! Anyhow, today was my first time playing a DDR type game. (Don't believe it was DDR, but it was similar anyhow). And I must say, it's kinda fun. Wasn't very good though. The...

Time for an update

Well, sort of. Things have slowed down, since school started again. Well, depending on how much you can name the final year in a Bachelor of Science "school". Basically it's just finishing up stuff, mopping it together. Then there's the internship that I'll be doing at the PlayLogic Game Factory. So, all in all, busy busy busy arranging stuff. Ofcource all the while still playing games. Had some fun in Vanguard in the beginning of the week, and tonight I've been playing EverQuest 2 and Legends of Norrath. Legends of Norrath, by the way, finally launched this Wednesday. They reset all the scenarios,...

The Agency got announced!

A couple of days back, Sony Online Entertainment announced The Agency. A spy-versus-spy type of MMO. To get through the news bits about it, check my newspost on GameClubCentral.com. In my opinion, a very cool concept. And I'm definitly wondering how this will play out. There are a couple of brand new ideas here. It'll be the first MMO to cross-platform PC with PS3, and from the sounds of it, you'll have access to the same characters on both systems. I know it's not the first MMO to be cross platform, we have a couple there already. But seeing the PS3 has...

Welcome to Lunarwrit

Well, just wanted to make a welcoming post, so welcome everyone. This is my first post on this new blog area. Here in Lunarwrit, I'll talk about gaming, the indistry, the different games. Though it'll mostly be in the direction of the games I like. I'm currently playing EverQuest 2, Lord of the Rings Online, Planetside and Vanguard, so expect these topics to come up every once in a while. For the summer, I'm also planning on posting about the Fan Faire '06 here. This blog is also affiliated with GameClubCentral, a gaming community and news site, so be sure to check them...
